Maintenance Supervisor -Offshore - Brazil

My client is a leading owner and operator of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading Vessels, providing the full range of advisory and innovative services to deliver cutting-edge maintenance projects.

Further to ongoing development, my Client is seeking an experienced person to provide a range of maintenance operations support requirements for the FPSO and associated facilities.

Work schedule is a 14/14. A typical working day is 12 hours.

The chosen applicant will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager within the Operations Department.

The main responsibilities:

- Provide overall support to a multi-national, multi-cultured operations team to ensure that company safety and business targets are achieved.

- Responsible for all maintenance related issues on the FPSO,

Integrity & reliability of Rotating Equipment, Boilers, Pumps, Steam turbines
Maintenance (inc Maximo - PMR's, strategies, scheduling, quality improvements)
Integrity - inspections
Lifting Equipment (Cranes, lifting equipment inspection & recertification, etc)
Manage a range of assigned Support Service Contracts

- Assist the Operations Manager with daily operations to ensure the facilities are operated and maintained in compliance with Company processes, HSSE Standards, and other relevant Standards.
- Be an integral part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) in Country.
- Interface with the Offshore and Onshore Teams in the daily operations and routine interpretation of the operations needs to meet KPI targets.
- Demonstrate leadership, commitment and foster a culture where health, safety and the environment are not compromised.
- Work as part of a team consisting of personnel from offshore and onshore, engineering, and operations to work together in order to maximize value of the company assets.
- If requested monitor production efficiency and raise action items as appropriate to ensure optimum field performance.
- Manage the planning and execution of special projects as necessary.
- Liaise with the Logistics and Supply Chain Departments for the delivery of material and manpower.
- Assist with competency verification of offshore personnel.
- Provide and maintain effective documentation for appropriate record keeping.
- Facilitate in the mentoring and development of National staff.
- Assist with the development of and work within the guidelines of the operating budget.
- Interface with the primary Client on a wide range of technical support issues,

Candidate Requirements:
- 6+ years of offshore facility operations experience.
- 3+ years of leading or supervising a team of multi-skilled or multi-national personnel.
- 3+ years international experience would be beneficial, preferably in Brazil.

- Good command of Portuguese language
- Commercial and business awareness.
- A strong leader and team player.
- Formal training with competency in the Command of Major Emergencies.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills; work with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Maximo.
